    We are proud to announce that this year’s first meeting had the largest turnout in the history of the club. A big thanks to all who came out! Our next meeting will be held this Monday, September 17, at 8pm in Canisius 9. As always, the meeting is open to players of all skill levels. Come out and learn, or head straight for the boards.

  5. JOIN FU CHESS: FALL 2012!!!

    It’s that time again ladies and gentlemen…

    FU Chess will hold the year’s first meeting on Wednesday, September 12, at 8:00pm, in Bannow 139.


    The FU Chess Community accommodates all players, from the absolute novice to the seasoned vet. We provide both a casual and competitive environment in which members can improve their game and grow as players. Join up!!!

  6. 2011-2012 Comes to a Close

    I’d like to offer a huge thanks to everyone who was involved with the Chess Club this season. We made some serious progress in the last year, and we plan to hit the Fall ‘12 Semester with all that momentum behind us. Stay tuned this summer for updates and sneak peaks into what we have in store for the Fall.

    Also, congratulations to Jameel James, the first Fairfield University Chess Champion.

  8. 1st Annual Fairfield University Chess Championship

    The time has come to crown a champ.

    Our first ever championship tournament will be held on Sunday, April 15th at 12pm in the BCC Mezzanine. Registration is free and will take place between 12:00-12:30pm. Stay tuned for updates regarding the specifics of the tournament.
