FU Chess - Inaugural Circuit Championship: Brian Arpie vs Luke Paulino - Round 1 - Chess.com

An interesting variation of the Sicilian Dragon led to a few serious changes in momentum. Arpie had an early lead in material, but Paulino was able to swing the tempo in his favor after breaking open the e-file. However, under time pressure and the threat of counter play, Paulino was unable to complete his attack, and Arpie walked away with the win.

Arpie leads the match 1-0

A win in the next round will clinch the tournament.

While you wait for the results of the final match, check out this interesting game between J Blum and Brian Arpie. Blum had an early queen-side attack, but Arpie was able to defuse the threats and secure the win.
